Welcome to OctoVino, Venice’s newest spot for locals and visitors to unwind, connect, and savor the coastal spirit of Florida—one glass at a time. Nestled in the heart of Venice Island at 222 Tampa Avenue, OctoVino is a relaxed yet refined beer and wine bar inspired by the rhythms of the sea and the art of craftsmanship. Founded by Justin and Noel Sontag, OctoVino was born from a shared love of community, creativity, and great conversation over a great drink. The name itself—Octo for the octopus, a symbol of adaptability and artistry, and Vino for the heart of wine culture—captures the balance between playfulness and sophistication that defines everything we do.

Dana and Jerry Kuhn started Rumours Wine Bar from a vision that began in 2019. It first opened in 2020 as a Retail Wine Store a couple of months before the pandemic and pivoted to becoming Rumours Wine Bar in September 2020. The business continued to thrive for the next few years, winning numerous awards. Lee Ann and Patrick Gunning purchased the business in December 2024. Patrick has been in the construction industry for the past 40 years. As a child, he spent a lot of time with his Italian grandmother learning how to cook and decided to attend culinary school “for the fun of it” later in life. It has always been a dream of ours to open a bar and what better place to do it than in Siesta Key! Tom and I have always had a passion for food and wine and decided Why not open a Wine Bar? We wanted our bar to feel like Cheers where everyone knows everyone and feels comfortable just coming in by yourself or with friends to drink delicious wine. Our wine bar was designed with a focus on relaxation and enjoyment. We carry wines from all around the World ranging from Napa to South Africa, France, Italy, Spain, and even sweet Florida wines.
