Anjan J. Patel, MD

Dr Konkel is a board-certified medical oncologist and hematologist serving as a hospitalist with Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute in Sarasota County. Dr Konkel has a special interest in the treatment of hematologic malignancies and benign hematology, as well as glioblastoma and solid tumors, with a focus in neuro-oncology. He graduated from the University of Colorado School of Medicine, completed his internal medicine residency at UT Health San Antonio and a hematology and oncology fellowship at UT Health San Antonio MD Anderson Cancer Center. Dr Konkel also serves as an associate clinical professor at Florida State University College of Medicine in Sarasota.

Dr Elizabeth Guancial is board-certified in internal medicine, medical oncology/hematology and has special interests in cancers of the bladder, kidney, testicle, and prostate. Dr Guancial earned her medical degree from the Harvard School of Medicine (Boston, MA) and completed her Internal Medicine Residency at the Massachusetts General Hospital. After her residency, Dr Guancial was awarded a Fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at the world-renown Dana Farber Cancer Institute, located in Boston, MA. In addition to her academic achievements, Dr Guancial received research grants from the Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network, University of Rochester Medical Center and the New York State Empire Clinical Research Investigator Program.

After earning his undergraduate medical degree, Dr Lalit Aneja completed his residency and fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at NYU Winthrop Hospital in Mineola, NY, which is a major teaching affiliate of NYU. There, Dr Aneja served as Chief Fellow and as a Clinical Instructor in Internal Medicine for third and fourth year medical students, and he supervised interns. He has served as a sub-investigator for several clinical trials and, in 2015, was published in the prestigious Journal of Clinical Oncology. He is Board-certified in Medical Oncology/Hematology and Internal Medicine. In his personal life, Dr Aneja enjoys travel and spending time with his wife and daughter. He is fluent in three languages.

Dr. Viteri Malone is a board-certified medical oncologist and hematologist with Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute in Sarasota and Charlotte counties. Dr. Viteri Malone earned her medical degree from the Universidad de Cuenca School of Medicine in Ecuador and completed internal medicine residency at MetroWest Medical Center, a Tufts University School of Medicine affiliate. She completed a geriatric medicine fellowship at Boston University's Boston Medical Center and a hematology and oncology fellowship at the Jacobi Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where she was recognized with the APEX (Applauding Person-centered Excellence) Award for outstanding patient care.

Dr. Gonter-Aubin is an oncologist and hematologist with Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute in Sarasota and Charlotte Counties. She earned her medical degree from Nova Southeastern College of Osteopathic Medicine in Ft. Lauderdale. After completing her residency in internal medicine at the University of Louisville, she was awarded a fellowship in Hematology/Oncology from Moffitt Cancer Center, where she was named chief fellow. Prior to joining FCS, Dr. Gonter-Aubin held various roles at the University of South Florida, where she served as a member of the Hematology/Oncology Fellow Committee, the Program Evaluation Committee and the Resident Advisory Committee.

Following a fellowship specializing in Gynecologic Oncology, Dr. Long held an Assistant Professorship of Obstetrics and Gynecology and was also the Director of Resident Robotic Training at The George Washington School of Medicine and Health Sciences. She is dedicated to the care of women with gynecologic malignancies and complex surgical needs.

Dr Tandra is a board-certified medical oncologist and hematologist with Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute in Sarasota. After receiving his medical degree from Osmania Medical College in India, Dr Tandra obtained his Membership of Royal College of General Practitioners and Diploma of Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He completed residency training at the University of Illinois and a fellowship in hematology and oncology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. The recipient of numerous recognitions, Dr Tandra has helped establish a multi-disciplinary breast cancer tumor board, contributed to advancing cancer treatment, and served as a peer reviewer for several national and international scientific journals.
